I got back to my house at 7am.

At 11 PM Estelle, Sophia, Marie and I met up with one of Sophia’s Argentine friends named Eugenia (Euge). We left immediately for a birthday for Euge’s friend, Carolina. I guess I should have felt more awkward than I did, going to a birthday party for someone I didn’t know, but it was okay because Carolina was very nice. We drank beer at her house with some of her friends while they told us how skeezy the boys are and how they’ll hit on anything that moves. At about 2am we went out to our first bar (now you can see why I was out until 7!). The first bar was sort of lame, mainly because there wasn’t much dancing and the boys weren’t cute (this and the music separates the good bars from the bad, apparently). We left for our second bar in Palermo SoHo, a very hip neighborhood, at 4:30 am. The second bar played a lot of Argentine music, none of which I could understand until Carolina sung it to me. Almost immediately after entering the bar, we were accosted by a bunch of drunk boys who hit on us in terrible English. It was sort of funny, I was able to fend most of them off. When we left at 6:30 am, one of the boys said “This is like an American movie. I have fallen in love with you and I will never see you again!” WOW. Even Chris couldn’t prepare me for that sort of corny BS.

Anyway, I guess I had fun even though I feel terrible now.
